ANDREA DEGHI

Andrea Deghi is a Financial Sector Expert in the Monetary and Capital Markets Department of the International Monetary Fund. Previously, he worked in the Macroprudential and Financial Stability Department of the ECB and in the Research Department of the Deutsche Bundesbank. Andrea’s work spans a number of topics, including the transmission of monetary policy, financial institutions, systemic risk, and real estate. 

Andrea obtained a MSc in Economics from the University of Siena and a Ph.D. in Economics jointly awarded by the Universities of Florence, Pisa, and Siena. While at Siena, he acquired an in-depth understanding of macroeconomics and a comprehensive toolkit to address policy-relevant questions, which laid a critical foundation for his career in central banking.
