Sauro Mocetti
Hi, my name is Sauro Mocetti and I am the head of the Law and Economics Division, at the Economics, Statistics and Research Department of the Bank of Italy. After graduating at University of Siena in 2002, I got a Master of Sciences in Economics from Universitat Pompeu Fabra in Barcelona and a PhD in Economics from University of Bologna and I was a visiting scholar at the University of California, Berkeley. I am an applied economist mainly interested in public and urban economics, corporate governance and the role of institutions. The Siena experience profoundly shaped my career, exposing me to a plurality of perspectives in the analysis of economic phenomena and nurturing my critical spirit. The university of Siena also provided a familiar and empathetic environment that supported me in the subsequent decisions of my career path.
