The University of Siena is my alma mater. In 2004 I graduated summa cum laude in Economics (MSc) and in 2005 I obtained also a second level Master in Economics. On these grounds I could pursue a career in finance and banking, that led me to join at first a major Italian bank and later on – in 2009 - the Italian central bank (Bank of Italy) as banking supervisor. I have been supervising many banks and leading multinational supervisory teams, focusing on systemic banking groups within the European Single Supervisory Mechanism. In 2023 I moved to a more managerial role, as Deputy Head of the AML Supervision Division I, in charge of large banking groups and asset management companies.

I really enjoyed studying Economics in Siena, which in my view can be a starting point to any career. Not only for the academic excellence of the University of Siena, but also because it offers to anyone staying there a unique learning environment.
